Learning Vacations

What is a “learning vacation“?

The concept of travel as education certainly isn’t new. College students have been studying abroad and people have been attending workshops and language schools for generations. What has changed in the last decade though is that a new genre of travel referred to as learning vacations has emerged (these being defined as creative, short term classes that blur the lines between fun vacations and educational courses) that is geared towards travelers of all walks of life and all ages. We are lucky enough to have some unique insight into how these vacation schools, workshops, retreats, and fantasy camps work, and by sharing this and our travel experiences we can hopefully inspire fellow travelers to learn something new.

Below are some links to our previous reviews and archived blogs of great learning vacation schools, workshops, fantasy camps, and retreats we have reported on so far. You can also check out our Pinterest page for the most recent links that we post.
